sexology sessions

all about sexology

  • Sexology is the scientific study of human sexuality. It explores everything related to sexual behaviours, experiences, sexual function, sexual health, pleasure, sexuality, libido, desire and gender.

  • As a Sexologist, I specialise in helping folks to navigate everything sex, sexuality and gender related. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space where we can explore and address any concerns you have. Maybe you’re experiencing differences in desire with your partner, or are exploring your sexuality, or maybe you are wanting to build sexual self confidence and experience more pleasure, or maybe you’re struggling with sexual functioning. Whatever brings you here, I am here to support you.

  • Sexology sessions are $220 for individuals and $242 for couples/all relationship structures. All sessions are 50 minutes and are offered online via Zoom Australia wide.

Medicare - Please be aware that sessions with a sexologist are not currently eligible for rebates through Medicare.

  • Sexology sessions go for 50 minutes and are online via Zoom. Once you book in via the link below, you will receive and email confirmation and consent form. The consent form just needs to be completed before the first session.

It’s normal to be a little nervous before the session. It can be daunting to talk about this stuff but I assure you, I will do everything I can to help you feel comfortable. We will go at a pace that feels good to you. The first session usually focuses on exploring what you’re looking for support with and sets some goals for our work together. From there, those goals will guide how we move forward in our sessions and what we focus on.

Oh, and it’s a no touch service which might sound obvious as it’s online but it’s a common question so needs to be said regardless.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out hello@lucilleshackleton.com

areas of focus

As a Sexologist and Relationship Therapist Lucille specialises in sex, gender, sexuality, and relationships. Not sure if what you want support with falls into one of those categories? Here are some of the areas Lucille regularly supports people to navigate.

Desire discrepancies: It’s common for partners to have different levels of sexual desire meaning one person wants more sex than the other. This is an experience that brings both individuals and couples into sexology and sex therapy sessions.

Sexual challenges: Experiencing erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low libido, pain during intercourse (e.g., vaginismus), or difficulty achieving orgasm.

Sexual communication: Many of us never learned how to talk about sex so it makes sense that it might be a struggle to talk openly about sexual needs, boundaries, or fantasies. Sexology sessions can support you to improve your confidence and sexual communication.

Exploring sexuality and gender: If you are questioning or want to better understand your sexuality, gender identity, or preferences then sexology sessions offer a non-judgmental space for self-exploration.

Improving sexual satisfaction: If you want to enhance your sexual experiences, boost intimacy, or break out of a sexual rut sexology sexology sessions can help with tips, strategies, and advice to deepen connection and increase pleasure.

Sexual trauma: Sexual trauma can lead to sexual disembodiment and difficulties feeling safe and present during sex. Sexology sessions are a space to access support, process those experiences, and restore feelings of safety in your body. Lucille is a trauma-informed practitioner and is trained in trauma processing modalities.

Sexual confidence: Building sexual self-confidence, feeling more present during sex, managing performance anxiety, or embracing eroticism - whatever you want to improve within your relationship with yourself as a sexual being, I’ve got you.

Navigating life transitions: Changes like pregnancy, aging, illness, or menopause can lead to changes in your body, sexual desires, and experience of intimacy. I support individuals and couples to navigate these changes.

Kinks, fetishes, sex work: I offer non-judgmental support for individuals exploring kinks and fetishes. I offer specialised support for sex workers and/or people working in the sex industry.

Relationships: I am also a qualified and experienced relationship therapist which means I can support you with navigating relational challenges, improving the emotional connection, helping you manage conflict, and breaking the patterns that get in the way of you having the relationship or dating experience you really want.

We are all different. Some people want sex to feel connected, while others need to feel connected to want sex.
